I initially trained to work with bridal clients in 2017 but soon realised that the area I was keen to work in full-time was film and television, having grown up being interested in how they created the effects in shows such as Casualty and Dr Who; and enjoying films like Labyrinth, Dragonheart, and the LOTR and Star Wars franchises. I then did a longer hair and media make-up course at The LSMM in 2018. After graduating, I found it quite hard to break into the industry so began by working on short films and on corporate and fashion shoots, which then led into broadcasting. After doing this for almost 5 years, I secured my first placement on a HETV production as a Hair and Make-Up Trainee through the BFI Trainee Scheme in 2022. After the actor's strike ended, I was part of the ScreenSkills Trainee Finder cohort 24/25. I have worked in this sector ever since and am now working at Junior level, having stepped up in 2025.
